The Best Mecha Collection RX-78-2 Gundam is a updated recreation of the first ever Gunpla kit using modern production technology and design techniques.
Over 40 years of technological advancement has been used when reviving the original 1/144 scale RX-78-2 Gundam. These include multi-coloured runners for better colour separation, touch gates to allow parts to be removed from the runners without the need for tools and a snap fit design allowing kit to be built without the need for adhesives.
The kit has also been redesigned to disguise seam lines when viewing the kit from the front. In addition to this the kit also comes with two different length beam sabers to accommodate display in the hand as well as in the backpack.
