www.bigrobots.co.uk is an independent Gunpla and Plamo hobby specialist retailer based in the UK. All of our stock is official product and is held in the UK. We currently only ship to UK mainland addresses.

Background

I've been building gunpla ever since first watching Gundam Wing and Dragon Ball Z on Toonami after school! I've been quietly hooked since very (VERY) poorly assembling my first no grade 1/144 Heavyarms and no grade 1/100 Heavyarms Custom EW kits in the early 2000s. No prizes for guessing my favourite mobile suit!

Fast forward 20-some years later and I dove back into the hobby in a big way! This time with the power of a fully fledged adult salary (acquired by selling my soul and web development skills to a leading online motorcycle retailer) there was nothing to stop me building a backlog that definitely exceeds my life expectancy!

However, in the process of filling my entire spare room with model kits I was repeatedly struck by dissatisfaction with the Gunpla ecosystem in the UK. We have some absolute gems trying their hardest to provide for the UK market but all too often stock was sold out or only available at dubious scalper prices. After hearing about Model Kits Ltd. winding down in the summer of 2024 I decided to try to step up and try plug the hole in the market for another independent retailer with a specific focus and knowledge of Gunpla and Plamo.

That brings us to today!
