What is a Mystery Box?
Simply put, it is a random/semi-random selection of one or more gunpla and/or mecha plamo kits which will match or exceed the selected box value.
The majority of the box value will always be dedicated to model kits. However, we may also include some accessories or options sets to help round things out and improve the value proposition of the mystery box. This can include things like option parts sets relevant to included items or stated interests, panel liners, action bases, etc.
Why might you want to buy a mystery box?
- Buying for a loved one but you're unfamiliar with the products*
- You want something to do but you're struggling with option paralysis.
- You're not too worried about a specific kit and would like to get a little bit more bang for your buck.
- You just want to add a little bit of excitement to your order.
*If you are buying on behalf of someone else please feel free to send us an accompanying email with a picture of the recipient's collection and we'll do our best to spot any trends and include suitable items.
Is it completely random?
Not if you don't want it to be, if you wish to provide details about the sort of items you would like to receive or any specific things you'd like us to avoid please provide details in the preferences text box above. If 250 characters is not enough please feel free to contact us via the contact page or email us with additional details. Although please try to abide by the spirit of a mystery box product.
We will do our best to choose appropriate items which align with any requests but please be aware that we are limited by what is in our current inventory and the box value selected. Letting us know what you already have in your collection will allow us to try to avoid sending you any duplicate items.
If you are happy to receive our box damaged sale items we may be able to stretch the box a bit further, this option can be selected using the provided tick box whilst adding the box to your cart.
Will I get a physical gift box as well as the items?
Unfortunately no, in order to offer the best value of goods for the price you pay and to avoid unnecessary waste we will pack the items up alongside anything else you order into one of our regular shipping boxes.
If you would really like a decorated box, please let us know and if we have time we will apply our extremely limited artistic ability to doodle on your shipping box.
