HG RX-78-2 Gundam (Beyond Global) 1/144

This is a High Grade Gunpla model kit of the  RX-78-2 Gundam (Beyond Global) mobile suit in 1/144th scale.

This gunpla kit features pre-coloured parts and snap fit assembly allowing for the completed articulated model to be built and displayed without the need for any glues or paints. When complete you will have a faithfully reproduced model of a RX-78-2 Gundam piloted by Amuro Ray and featured in Mobile Suit Gundam.

This version of the RX-78-2 designed by Kunio Okawara has been completely redeveloped for the 40th anniversary of gunpla with a heavy focus on offering the best colour accuracy, articulation and poseability possible in a HG kit.

This kit has been designed in such a way that the colour separation is near perfect. The only foil sticker included is for the eyes. Even the smallest details like the yellow V on the crotch and the yellow vulcan guns on the head have been given extra attention and are moulded in the correct colour plastic as their own parts. Details even extend to the weapons with the shield being moulded our of 4 different colours of plastic parts providing a stunningly detailed finished model.

Special care has been taken with the design of each part to ensure that no seam lines are obviously visible running down any of the parts on the mobile suit itself.

As well as fantastic colour separation this kit also features best in class articulation. In order to achieve this special joints have been incorporated into key areas of the mobile suit to enhance its posing ability. These include:

• The torso features a structure that allows for both bending forwards as well as leaning to the left and right.
• The neck can move forwards and backwards on a double joint.
• Special joints are included at the top of the legs allowing for an unprecedented range of motion for a high grade kit. This allows the legs to bend inward and cross more fluidly resulting in more human-like poses
• The wrists can move independently, allowing the attached shield to move freely. The wrist block moves as a separate part with a ball joint, allowing much more fluid posing of the forearm.
• The hip joints are able to swing downwards moves greatly forward. Furthermore, the rear skirt is movable offering a much wider range of leg motion than usual at this grade
• Block joints on the sides of the chest allow for a significant range of outward movement at the shoulders without ever exposing the block joints in the process. 
• The arms can be raised almost fully vertically without needing to rotate the shoulder section allowing for the final shooting pose to be recreated.

This version of the classic gundam comes equipped with its standard load out, including:

• Beam Rifle - featuring an articulated scope with colour separated sensor and articulated foregrip. When not in use this weapon can be stored on the rear skirting armour of the mobile suit.
• Two Beam Sabers - including two clear pink beam blade effect parts. When not in use the beam saber handles can be stored on the backpack.
• Shield - featuring four different coloured plastic parts and intelligent parts layering this shield is one of the most detailed and best looking finished results available in the HG line. Attaching to the extending wrist portion of the mobile suits forearm the shield can be freely posed whilst attached to the arm thanks to the full rotation offered by the wrist. When not in use the shield can be stored on the backpack.

A range of hand options are included allowing for posing both with and without the included weaponry.
