This is a pre-coloured snap fit Mega Size Model Gunpla kit of the RX-78-2 Gundam mobile suit in 1/48th scale.
When completed this Gunpla kit results in a faithful reproduction of the RX-78-2 Gundam as piloted by Amuro Ray in Mobile Suit Gundam.
This kit features pre-coloured moulded parts and snap fit assembly allowing for the completed model to be built and displayed without the need for any glues or paints. This particular gunpla kit has also been engineered wedge gate technology so the parts can all be released from the runners easily using the included tool so nippers are not needed for this kit.
The included runner separator which is used for releasing parts from the runner also features a parts separator which can be used to help disassemble parts in the event of any building errors. To help avoid this "runner locks" are used to reduce the chance of assembly errors. Part numbers are also moulded directly onto the back of the parts themselves to help prevent parts from being mixed up after they have been removed from the runners.
When completed the finished model stands at a massive 375mm tall.
When complete this model has 34 points of articulation allowing for a range of dynamic poses to be recreated. The joints feature a click mechanism to provide additional support for a kit of this size and weight.
This kit features complete colour separation without the need for any stickers.
An introduction to gunpla building booklet featuring how-to articles from the editors of "Monthly Hobby Japan" and "Monthly Dengeki Hobby Magazine" is included with this kit.
This kit contains the RX-78-2 Gundams standard load out of weaponry and equipment, including:
- Beam Rifle - featuring an articulated sight and foregrip.
- Two Beam Sabers - with clear pink beam blade effect parts. When not in use they can be stored on the backpack of the mobile suit.
- Shield - mounted to the side of the arm when in use. When not in use the shield can be stored on the back of the mobile suits backpack.
Alternate hand options are included with this kit which provides a range of display options both with and without the included weaponry.
For additional surface details a dedicated sheet of waterslide decals is included with this kit.
